I have just been reading this months WHICH? magazine, they have been testing light bulbs, a big issue in our house as I'm the only person who switces them off!

In the section THE TRUTH BEHIND HEALTH FEARS p54 I was astounded to read
'CFLs emit UV radiation that can affect those sensitive to light, and there is a small increased risk of skin cancer if you are within a few centimetres of a CFL for long periods.'

I have been working for most of the last 30yrs with a fluorescent light a few centimetres from my face and have more 'sun' damage on the right side of my face.

Is this going to be the next occupational disease for Pods?

Or it could be from a lot of driving. Truck drivers have more skin problems on the side next to the window. (That would be on the left in the states)

If you are trying to see a foot better, you should be in the dark and the foot should be in the light. If the light is illuminating the foot, it should not also be lighting your face.
