Should have read Kidd & Kidd, 1993 (or was it 4?);though simplistic, was way ahead of its time.
-
Rob, my quick google search has not come up with any references for your paper. Do you remember the title to share with us?
-
I seem to remember it was 1993 in the Australian Podiatrist. It was a long time ago. We are both away from home at the moment but will try to be a bit more exact if you still can't find it.

After a huge search of the archives, followed by a battle with Adobe (read version), I have managed to create a copy of Kidd & Kidd (1993) which is small enough to post online. Please - anyone reading this (see comments in previous posts in this thread), remember that it is nearly 20 years old. I had hair and no grandkids then...................

Looks like a good article but I find it very difficult to read (very grainy. low resolution). If you scanned the article at higher resolution and sent it to me via e-mail (kevinakirby@comcast.net), I would be happy to work on it for you with my copy of Adobe Acrobat 9 so we can all get to read this article with less eye strain.:drinks -
Rosalind and Rod,
Thank you for managing to find your article from 19 years ago. I read the article last month and in the interim period since I’ve not responded due to a hectic time and 2 weeks incognito in Oz, hence my tardiness in replying!
I agreed that your article did indeed complement the topic of structural changes in Diabetes well. I imagine many others here will enjoy reading it too, so it would be worth improving the scan quality if there is some way to do so. :)
It got me thinking further on the subject, and lead me to find this: http://www.podiatry-arena.com/podiatry-forum/showthread.php?t=2122 where some posts deal with biochemical changes in the soft tissue and plantar aponeurosis and predicting lesions based on the pre-disease STJ axis deviation and FPI. -

The Biomechanics of the Diabetic Foot
http://cdn.intechopen.com/pdfs/24691/InTech-The_biomechanics_of_the_diabetic_foot.pdf
I am especially interested in reading Dr. Kidd's review of the chapter.
Dennis -
The process of peer review is well established; I have been at both ends of it for years, sometimes in some serious journals. Last time I wrote a book chapter it was for the Cambridge University Press; by the time they had finished with me, I would have had an easier ride in the ring with Ali...................., but it was published.
I am uncertain whether with "Dr Kidd" you meant me or her: I will assume you meant both of us. We will review and get back to you. Since this was presented in a public arena, the reply will be also public. If you wish to communicate privately, I will respond.
