I have a real opportunity for an ambitious, motivated Extended Scope Podiatrist to work within Greater Manchester as part of an integrated Foot & Ankle Team. The team works as part of the Greater Manchester Clinical Assessment & Treatment Service (GM-CATS) in 2 mobile, well equipped units to serve local NHS patients.

You will be expected to deliver advanced MSK assessments of a full range of foot and ankle conditions, raise a full range of diagnostics including MRI, X-Ray & haematological tests and their interpretation. Treatment planning, deliver of evidence based treatments, recommendations for onward referral for surgery where appropriate will also be expected.
Support from Podiatric and Orthopaedic Surgeons along with ESP Physiotherapists and Nursing staff will be integral to your working. You should be familiar with all aspects of multi-disciplinary team working including development of treatment pathways, clinical audit and support of undergraduate and junior colleagues.
The post is available from mid July to initially cover maternity leave 30 hours per week. The current post holder intends to return part time (50%).
You should be IRMER trained, registered to perform injections but not necessarily seeking surgical training. Some evening and week-end working may be required.
For further information, send me a PM through this site and I'll send you full details.
