Very cool new study on the causes of children's asthma just published in the New England Journal of Medicine.

Maybe we should be encouraging our children to play in the dirt, not wipe off their pacifiers that hit the ground, kiss their pet animals, etc. This is yet another study that suggests that early exposure to antigens in childhood may protect the individual from various diseases in adulthood.
