    HI,

    I am a second year podiatry Student in the UK and am keen to be amongst fellow podiatrists and learn the tools of the trade. It is such a vast subject and I am in awe at the experience and expertise out there. Perhaps the vetrans could give us beginners some advice on just where to begin in such a health conscious and competitive world.:wacko:

    Welcome Bunion and Rachel. Rachel search the tags for anything specific you are looking for. if you can not find it then ask in the appropriate forum there is plenty of advice aout there.
    Bunion O you will at times find that if you want assistance from your peers that they may want the courtesy of knowing a little more about you.
    Good Luck to both of you with your studies
    Cheers

    I'm a first year Pod student, but won't actually be studying anything related to podiatry until next year. As La Trobe has changed your first year into Health Science, which you undertake with OT, physio's, nurses etc. And then second year you branch into your actual streams of study.

    I joined this forum just learn a bit about what it will be like to be a podiatrist when I qualify in 4 years, and I'm sure when I actually study my set subjects for pod then I will be asking for help if I don't understand something. For now it;s just intersesting to read up on different issues that I may come across in a few years time.

    Thanks again

    Hi Bunion & Rachel,

    :welcome::welcome: (one each) :D

    Good luck in your studies. The beginning can be a little daunting with years of study ahead. :empathy:

    My advice. Listen very carefully (something I still struggle with). Ask lots of questions & my very favourite from Mr. Robert Isaacs: 'start at the beginning & build your knowledge from there'. Good foundations to steadily build your knowledge upon. (Robert I. is very wise). ;)

    All the very best,

    Mandy.

    Hi you will come across most if not all you read about. It is good that your fellow students will actaully know that there are pods out there. a great chance to network and gather teams of other health professionals for when you hit that 4 year mark.
    Look forward to seeing you out there.
    Add the Aussie flag if you get a mo
    Cheers
