Just joined the arena, and this is a short idea of who I am.

My name is Debbie, I live and work in Salisbury, Wiltshire in the UK. I have served the local community here since setting up my private practice 15 years ago. I am known with respect by the NHS clinic, health visitors and diabetic nurses, as well as the podiatry surgeon here, and many of those attending regularly have been attending 10 years plus.

Before training in podiatry as my second profession I raised 4 children, 3 boys and a girl.

My husband has a neurological muscle wasting condition known as Chariot-Marrie-Tooth Disease, no not a dental condtion as one uneducated physiotherapist thought! Despite his mobility difficulties his hard work provided the inome for my training. His mobility and gait issues have spured me on as I know only too well what a big difference routine podiatry, ortotics, splints and specialist footwear has to offer.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to some highly interesting forums.;)

I think of CMT ,Roussy-Levy Syndrome, Dejerine-Sottas Syndrome as a group. It is not clear to me how treatment or prognosis differ. Some are rigid, and some are flexible. Some go rapidly and some progress slowly. Some have loss of the GIFT OF PAIN plus deformity.
