Anyone know about hereditary haemorrhagic telangiectasia (Osler-Weber-Rendu syndrome) and any contarindication, complication or cautions in nail surgery (TNA) with Local anaesthetic (Mepivicaine 3% plain). This is a genetic disorder that causes the small arteries to be connected to the small veins, bypassing the capillary bed in some places. These nodes are fragile and easily rupture and there is more susceptibility to infection and if there are Plumonary nodes there is a risk of paradoxical brain hemorrage due to septic clots - this warning is given in terms of denral surgery.
