Patient stubbed his 5th toe on the table. Thoughts? Recommendations? Treatment?

Nothing you can really do except manage pain (ice, drugs).
Maybe strap it to the 4th toe to restrict movement

 

You could try and fix the avulsion fragment with a 0.5mm screw. Just kidding. The only other textbook thing here is a post op shoe. With those, half the time people tell me they hurt worse than regular shoes.
