While doing a little web-surfin' this morning, I came across an excellent blog done by a frequent contributor to Podiatry Arena, Ian Griffiths. Ian has done a very nice job of neatly summarizing many biomechanical-sports concepts for the lay reader and medical professional. I would highly recommend this site and want to publicly offer Ian a "congratulations" on producing this very informative website.

    Good job, Ian!

    Kevin,

It appears I may owe you a beer. Since your above post on my blog 5 days ago it has had more hits than it got for the entire month of September, and now has 8 people who have subscribed to it (previously 1).

Of course it means I need to get off my butt and write some more...

Thanks again for your kind words

Self promotion can sometimes be a good thing. Don't be afraid to let us know when you have another article on your blog. One of my favorite sayings from my dear departed father was, "Don't be modest, tell the truth!"

perhaps you could do a blog on what the best orthotic is. I think it is a cobra pad, but some think it's an arch support; still others think its a whale pad. Could you set the record straight once and for all.

    much ta

And, by the way.....some advice from someone that has been writing monthly newsletters for over 24 years.....don't start doing blogs on what others want you to do.....do them only on topics that you are interested in and on topics that you feel may be of interest to others.:drinks

    Kevin,

As you suggested, here is the link to my latest blog on Plantar Calcaneal (Heel) Spurs.

Nothing new to most of you I'm sure, but maybe of interest to some.

    Ian,

Good blog article that a great many GPs and foot ankle clinicians would do well to read. Thanks,

Just out of interest, who was your 1 member before the Kevin Kirby inspired rush to be registered with your blog?

    Cheers

No idea, only information it gives me is the email address. 15 subscribers now! I reckon that's a few pints coming Kevin's way at next years biomechanics summer school...

Enjoyed the read regarding the 'transmet arch', unfortunately, it puts a number of local pods to shame.
Was also happy to read some further validation on the supination resistance test.
    Keep up the good work.
