    I have all the signs of a ruptured plantar plate at my 2nd metatarsal. I think it began on a really rocky downhill trail run in the mountains.

    It took me out of running (and walking) for two weeks, and after a month it seemed to be just kind of lingering at slight swelling and slight pain at rest...easily aggravated by weight bearing.

    I did some research and symptom for plantar plate injury exactly matched mine, and thankfully no hammer toe or dislocation...but my second toe was...
