    Treatment (prevention) options are limited because you can't use a semi-rigid shell since Irish dance shoes need to be able to bend substantially in the sagittal plane in the midfoot area. A shank dependent, EVA device made on a non-weightbearing, balanced cast is an option for treating Irish dancers.
