    Hi,

I was just wondering if any pods have attended the 'Lower limbs BMX hands-on workshop Module 1' run by the International College of Biomechanics. They use the NAS technique for assessing biomechanical foot complaints. a technique I am not familiar with. I was thinking of attending this year just as a refresher course.

I would appreciate any feedback on this course before I sign up.

    Thank you,

They are front for the ICB prefabs.

  5. Yep. They're quite upfront about it. The NAS system is, I believe, the brainchild of Abbie Najjarine. Its essentially a simplified root approach. Familier, old school stuff. Nothing too terrible, nothing very impressive. Forefoot varus, rearfoot valgus, ra ra ra. He's written a book.

I would say, Whiskers, that these are not the droids you're looking for. Its very, very old school.

    Nice find Simon.
I'm afraid my version of the old school belies my age (very young obviously :D). I once met Matt Hoffman at some exhibition he did in Manchester. It was just as I was moving on from BMX's to skateboards as I used to be really cool (yeah right). Not quite sure what happened to 'life'. Always fancied a Haro bike, but I had to make do with modifying my super tuff burner (which I still have - it's a restoration project when I get some time).

Here's another Danny Macaskill video (tenuous link to BMXing) that you've probably already seen (24 million people can't be wrong):

  10. I met both Bob Haro and Edie Fiola back in the day- I think it was at the Kellogs.

I should be racing my first regional for twenty something years in a fortnight's time (40+ cruiser)

  11. Gear-box on my '77 VW transporter....

  12. Great tune, great riding- wished I was 15 again, I don't think my knees would cope with those acid drops these days.

So do I. I went snowboarding a couple of weeks ago to prove to myself that I am now officially getting old. Best of luck with the race. Riders ready, ralgex ready, pedals ready, GO!

  15. Traffic light system these days.

    Old skool racing:

    Small jumps further apart.

    New skool racing:

    Bigger jumps, more intense.

Don't care if I come last (do really).
