I had bunion surgery on my left foot 1 1/2 years ago and the surgeon accidentally cut the bone at the base of the 2nd metarsal. This caused many months of recovery beyond what I expected. The bone wasn't healing so i had to use a bone stimulator. When I asked for compensation to cover the additional months of surgery, pain and expense, I was told this was common for bunion surgery.
