Does anyone know of any UK Masters courses in biomechanics and related areas, which can be done in a distance learning format?

    Thanks Ian

the universities you sent me all provide a masters in the biomechanics area. however my only concern is that i would like to take on the masters on a part time distance learning method - and none of the universities provide such an option.

    Hi,

I've been looking for the same thing.

So far the best I've found is at Huddersfield where you only have to attend 3 x one week blocks a year (in Oct, Feb and April) at the University. The rest is done via distance learning.

Let me know how you get on.

You need to investigate things more - I know at least 2-3 of the institutions on my list do offer a distance learning format. However, there will usually always be the requirement to attend at least 10-14 days a year, whether that be block weeks or 5-6 weekends.

Staffordshire University does a masters in Clinical Podiatric Biomechanics taking between 2 and 5 years to complete. I began this course a few years ago but had to stop due to personal reasons, however I did study as distance learning and had to attend 5 or 6 weekends a year. Hope this helps.
