Hello

My name is Jane and I graduated this year and have now started practising.

My query is this: how to treat painful mosaic verrucas in a child of 12yr.

At university we were taught not to do anything with verrucas as they will naturally disappear. However, in the real world, this seems a difficult route to take when a patient comes to you in pain. There are treatments out there and other Pods have said they are good and work, such as the product known as 'Occlusive'.

Can anyone out there give me some of valid and worthly advise?

Hard to believe.

Go to the Mosaic verrucae-help with treatment thread, I think you will find it most interesting and instructive.

Mosacis are always an interesting topic of discussion.
As Steve has said you can search the threads. There are many discussions on this topic.
Salicylic Acid by its nature can be used in low2 strength and may help.
"Occlusive" means to cover the lesions rather than perhaps being something that you can purchase?
Asking questions are best dealt with in other forums as not all pods read the introduction forum.

I think you mean "Occlusal" which is a 26% salicylic acid preparation.
