How often was treatment given over this period. I normally treat every six to seven days and have far better results with cryotherapy. Happy to test the needling, but again how often should treatments be given to promote a response and hopefully healing.Podsl
I too would have thought that Cryotherapy would have had a better outcome. There are however many variables with Cryo such as equipment used, its temperature, number and length of freeze. If the verrucae were only frozen once and followed up after 12 weeks then the results would have been poor.
Needling usually only has to be done once and then the result is evident in the following 12 weeks. If it has failed then after this period it can be repeated. What has surprised me about this study is the no significant difference in resolution of satellite verrucae. From my experience (only limited) the satellite verrucae and even verrucae and warts on non-needled limbs regress at the same time or not long after the needled verruca due to the immune response.
