Original charger from the manufacturer is over £100 plus VAT plus delivery. A little steep i thought for a wall wart. :boxing:

After some research and minor dismantling of the battery pack i found the exact charger need is a 12v AC 100mA trickle charger

This UK company http://www.pulsardevelopments.com can order that spec with the right connector from Mascot in Norway and delivered inc. vat comes to £25

You'll need to ask for:

Mascot 8314 @ 100mA with a 3630 connector, with positive on the pin.

The only possible difference between that and the OEM charger might be if the OEM charger is medical use rated. Personally i don't see why it would need to be as it is impossible to use the charger while you are using the device on a patient. However if your institution "has a policy" you can still order the slightly bulkier and little more pricey Mascot 8714 CC which IS medical rated.

There is no way on earth that the original one could be any better, these are made in Norway and seem very high quality, so go ahead and save yourself £100.

How do these suppliers sleep at night? In very comfortable beds supplied by us :rolleyes:

PS if you ever need a new battery pack i dread to think how much the OEM one would be. Look inside and it is simply a roll of 10 standard AA sized 1.2v rechargeable NiCd batteries wired in series. No need to understand that though, the same company (and many others) offer to remake these sort of packs. I would guess should be maybe £20-£30 all in.

 

My mistake it was £100 INC vat so save yourself £80ish
