I have a copy of the full Bill and explanatory notes, and there is a whole lot more.
This of course in step 2 of a 3 part process to National Registration.
The newly formed National Podiatry Board has a lot of work infront of it over the next 9 months, to ensure all policies and procedures are in place for a smooth transition.

    Hi guys,

Will there be significant issues surrounding Podiatric surgery in the proposed Bill.

    Thanks

The proposed legislation appears to be consistent with previous messages.

    ie.
Titles of Doctor and Surgeon are not protected
No practice restrictions on surgery performed by podiatrists

It will probably be a long time before we get specialist registers though...

  5. Having left oz 4 years ago, I´m abit out of touch with all the issues, But would this not be seen as a good thing for the profession.

ie With vic now have the ability to write prescriptions therefore the other states would get it without the same fight etc

The profession, education etc would become more united and grow with strength.

    LuckyLisfranc,

Will there be any additional developments / advancements for podiatric surgery
i.e public hospital access / increased rebates / training opportunities?

    Thanks,

    Spur
