    There was a study that showed that some pressure variables were dependent on sensor size. EMED has different sensor sizes for different feet. You could develop normative data for a particular sensor, if the sensor was calibrated the same way across time. However, the data could not be use across different types of sensors.

    At the level of the literature, we confirmed significant effects of disease status, age, BMI, and sex on regional peak plantar pressures. Researchers and clinicians should be aware that measurements of peak plantar pressure variables obtained from different collection equipment are not directly comparable."
