    To all dear surfers:

This is to bring your attention to something that may satisfy your curiosity about the effectiveness of osteodesis procedure. The pre-op and follow-up x-rays of the entire 126 consecutive feet (included and excluded for the study) during the study period are available in the Electronic Supplementary Material section of the electronic version of this article for readers to review for themselves.

There is also a plantar pressure study (The use of a syndesmosis procedure for the
treatment of hallux valgus, http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24692618) about the functional results after osteodesis/syndesmosis procedure. For explanation between the two procedures, please visit #80 reply of http://www.podiatry-arena.com/podiatry-forum/showthread.php?t=95058&page=3.

Again, the preoperative and final follow-up standing AP view x-rays of all 41 consecutive osteodesis patients during the study period, including the ones excluded for not being followed long enough, are presented in the electronic Ancillary Material section of this article for readers’ viewing. It is probably the best and only way to get a real close-view of what this not so well-known soft tissue technique can or cannot achieve without osteotomy and arthrodesis.
