Would you sit on a sharp object or strangulate your testicles?

I, for one, wouldn't but I am sure there are many who would. Really it's whatever turns you on. As they say, a worry shared is a worry halved. Possibly it's better if they are sitting on a sharp object while strangulating your testicles?

... these are the deserate acts of athletes trying to compete on an even playing field.

That is the underlying difficulty in all human activity, the playingfield is never even. Athletes who cheat are not tring to create an even playing field. They are trying to create a playingfield invisibly tilted in their favour.
