    Hi,
I am looking at jobs in Melbourne in community health and wondering about average pay rates as none of the positions I've seen have any salary indications at all. Can anyone help with averages?

    Thank you very very much!!

    Lucy,

Most community Health centres pay at the Grade 2 rate of pay. There are 4 pay points based on experience. Current pay rates are from $62k up to $74k, plus and extra $4k if you hold a Post grad Dip or Masters Degree.
There is also an ability to salary package $18k of your salary to pay rent, mortgage, groceries etc. reducing your tax liability by about $7k.

The above salaries are per annum for a 38hr week (you work 40, but get a day of every 4 weeks) with 4 weeks annual leave, part time will be pro rata, except the salary packaging fringe benefit exemption is claimed by the employer, so not dependant on hours worked.
