    On this forum, there has been a plethora of discussions on Plantar Fasciitis. Recently, a great deal of attention has been focused on stretching exercises to ameliorate the pain associated with PF. This would be a logical approach if PF was a primary pathology, which it is not.

    PF is a constellation of symptoms in which there are many possible causes.

    It is more logical to identify and treat the cause of PF directly. Once the primary aetiology has been eliminated, the constellation of symptoms associated with PF will automatically abate.

    Attached is a paper I published in 2010 which discusses in detail what I have written above.
