    Kevin Kirby writes about the midtarsal joint being the planal motion of the forefoot relative to the rearfoot through the motion of the navicular and cuboid.

    In CKC subtalar (rearfoot) pronation The A-P midtarsal joint when stiff will not provide the forefoot inversion to have whole foot plantigrade or at least GRF remain under medial forefoot and not lateral.

    I was wondering if the forefoot load ratio taught by Craig Payne could be actually measuring the plantar location of the midtarsal joint axis much like supination resistance tests the subtalar joint plantar position.

    Any thoughts...
