    Hi
I'm a first year Pod student in the UK (Huddersfield). A few months in and i'm loving (most of) it!
Are there anyother first year Pods on here?
Thought it may be good to get a thread going,to see how other students are getting on at other places of study (Uk or other).

  2. Tell you what I'd do Phil. I'd send a polite message to craig (admin) asking him if he would very sweetly create a section of the forum just for undergraduates.

yeah im a first year at durham and a bit swamped at the mo, but thankfully iv done most of the physiology before which makes things a bit easier.

however anatomy is making me sad as the pelvis is a bit terrifying :p

would be nice if we had a bit to discuss student matters

    Hi all,

Just finished 1st year myself at QUT in Brisbane, Qld, Australia....degrees out here primarily are 4 yr courses, so another 3 to go! Actually looked into transferring to the UK to finish my degree (3 yrs instead - English schools) but I don't qualify for the 'home' student status so hefty international fees I would be up for....OUCH (Birmingham or salford was my first thought as my wife's family are from Nottingham)
I do like the thought of graduating a year earlier though.....any thoughts as to the difference in study duration for Bachelors?
We have 1 degree out here at University of Newcastle which is 3 yrs? Some say something has got to give to complete the course in 3 yrs....BUT there is a lot of general Science that I have covered which could have been made more specific for Pod IMO.
Just wanting to throw that out there...
    Look forward to any replies,
    Cheers and all the best,

    BJ
