Hi, I am considering whether to do the podiatry degree (uk based)

What are peoples thoughts on this...is there jobs out there? I worry I will study for 3 years and find it hard to get a job once qualified?

ideally I would like to get some experience within the NHS then setup up a private practice...

Is it hard to set up your own practice I know it takes time to build a client base.

    thanks

I think you will struggle to get a good NHS job unless your willing to relocate to no mans land, I would advise you to search the NHS job webpage for band 5 podiatry positions, you will have your answer. Starting a clinic and building a client base will be difficult and expensive, some pods run successful clinics so it has been proven possible, however you really need a good business brain and the commitment and dedication to stick with it.
