    Jack Golding is talking about positive air filtration ?

    What is this and what are the guidelines?

    I spoke to our infection control nurse and she new nothing.

    Where is the literature.

    Not sure what point you trying to make or ask. You may need to be more specific.

    Positive air flow is pretty standard for operating theatres to move air away from the cleanest areas. I thought this is/was in every relevant guidelines. The infection control nurse would know that.

    Further to my last posting

    In the surgery section Jack Golding says that all Pod surgeries will have to have + air Filtration next year.

    I have spoken to the infection control nurse for my area. She went away and spoke to her colleagues to double check and returned to me.
    She stated that Pods will not need this system even if undertaking surgery.
    I said does this include bunion surgery (bone) and she again said "yes"

    She stated that the "only" premises that will need this system are surgeries undertaking invasive surgery like abdominal, cardio-thoracic, knee or hip replacement etc.

    Therefore all you aspiring PP surgeons need not trouble yourselves.
