    Hi
I am glad to have found this site!
I have recently qualified and is working in a private practice.
I recently had a client who came in with a thicken plantar callus 2-3MTPJ, after debriding, the area was found to be very mascerated. Would someone please advice me on the possible options in treat this mascerated area.

    Thanks

    Hi Nicole,

Is the Person a smoker? Quit and the callus will be easier to deal with, offloading pressure via modified insoles and redistributing pressure across the whole FF, using a met dome will also help. meths/alco will dry the area better. however it sound like pressure is the main problem.

    Cheers

    Joe
