Hi everyone,

Gosh there's so much to do once one has decided to go it alone so to speak! I'm trying to purchase autoclaves, doppler, drill, and trying to decide what are the best nippers! Any advice is much appreciated. Incidentally, I really love reading your posts. Valerie

 

Welcome Valerie, good that you have taken the plunge after a short 8 months. :)) Many lurk for years before posting.
Good that you ave your location, you can then get specific replies.
The introduction forum is often not the best place to ask for assistance.
If you go to specific forums you may get better results.
Also search the tags as the questions have been periodically been posed before.
Different countries use different suppliers and brands.
Berchtold Drill is a popular one used here in Australia, this is from Germany.
Nippers you really need to try yourself? The width of the springs and the force needed to work them can vary and depending onyour hand size can make you quite sore. If there is a conference happening, then suppliers often have there wares on show and you can try them personally.
Autoclaves need to be up with the legal requirements for your country so worth doing the research.

If you are a member of the SCP there is a conference in Nov and many suppliers exibit with a range of the items you are after.When I set up in business I was advised to get the best nippers I could afford preferably German as the steel is high spec. It would be best to contact a supplier and get one of their reps over to try different designs and then buy the ones that are the most comfortable for you.
Some items you can pick up second hand though you don't get the same peace of mind if something should go wrong.
