I was a podiatrist in the uk for 11 years, and recently moved to texas and gave up my job with the nhs and my membership.
i have got to know a podiatrist over here who is really interested in me working for him, he wants to know to what limit can i legally use my skills over here.
does any one have any ideas?

 

This is exactly correct. I live in Indiana and have a colleague who was a past president of the Indiana Podiatric Medical Association. He has employed a Scottish Podiatrist for the last few years. He told me that his international associate is capable of pretty much doing anything so long as he, the podiatrist, is on location at the clinic. Also, no malpractice is required as the international associate is covered under the umbrella of the Indiana Podiatrists malpractice premium.

I hope that this works out for you. I hope to employ an internation associate sometime in the next year or so.
