Does anyone know if moulded orthosis can improve severe ataxia in a previous alcoholic. The patient gave up alcohol 2 years ago but still has severe ataxia and peripheral neuropathy. In addition he has been diabetic for 4 years. He has a wide base of gait and heel walks.

Would physiotherapy be beneficial after all this time?
