I have a patient with severe bromidrosis. The planter of both feet are white, mascerated. He has tried potassium permanganate footbaths and surgical spirit rubs but no effect. I've also advised re footwear and socks.
The patient is getting quite desperate now so any help would be much appreciated. I'm sure i've read about surgery to remove sweat glands, am i wrong on that . It does seem an extreme measure but the patients condition is severe. GP did'nt offer any further suggestions.
regards, Amanda
