I am just starting out doing 2 half days a week in a rented room. I will generate tiny amounts of clinical waste. Am I allowed to pass this to, say, a local surgery with a waste transfer note and just give them a contribution to their costs? Otherwise it means storing it for long enough to make a collection worthwhile, which seems a bit grim.

Grateful for guidance - can't find any just by googling.

    No, sorry, Lucy.

The waste must be transported by a Registered Waste Carrier, and only they can issue a Waste Transfer Note.
