Eventually we had to give in. The spam problem on the old site was getting so bad, that in order to manage it, we had to spend 24/7 just dealing with it. If we weren't quick enough to deal with it, then we lost contributors.

We have now obviously installed this new vBulletin software and some other customizations to get things going here.
We also realise that those who ask about their problems do not necesarily turn...
