Hi all you Dermo specialist Guys (Bel:D)

Attached is a pic of a patient's ear with a blood filled cyst about 7mm diameter. It has been there for about 2 months and occasionally bursts and bleeds profusely. It does not resolved but it has not increased in size for several weeks. I advised ref to GP an the GP Dx'd Peduncular cyst and no treatment needed. I dont know what the lesion is but it isn't peduncular i.e. on a stalk, I am concerned that she should get a second opinion . Any suggestions what this may be and any concerns that it might be sinister. It does look similar to a number of lesions but I don't want to put words in your mouth.

Pyogenic granuloma, just guessing? But why hasn't patient consulted his GP, not many people would walk around with something that bleeds profusely > 2mths.

No def not Pyo granuloma and it only bleeds when it bursts, not continuously for 2 months.
