    Hello Everyone.

I am so happy to finally be a a part of this forum, I have heard so many things about it, and have enjoyed reading many of the entries.

I am currently the Primary Podiatry Manager for Northland New Zealand, and work closely with Maori Health Providers - so for you Aussie Pods - we're beached as bro!

I have been in practice for 4 years, and am looking forward to being involved in your discussions.

I understand from previous posts that I am likely to hear from the welcoming committee. I look forward to this, but would prefer if Twirly refrained from commenting, as I find her entries unnecessarily judgemental of other participating Pods.

So hi to all - have a great weekend

    Hello Weenie2

    Great to hear from you.
Been wondering where you got over the past few years.
You will enjoy wandering around the forums, but if you are anything like me- and I know you are not- you will refrain from posting as someone always beats you to the punchline.
Have fun, catch up when I head north.

    Hi Tree,

So good to hear from you. Love reading your submissions to forum, as I can always count on, not only your professionalism, but your empathy and understanding for both patients and other pods.

Can't wait to see you at Gold Coast Conference

    Hi weenie2,

Thought it was well due for you to become part of the forum.
I have over the years stated that it was a place for reviewing what others thought about every day occurances that occur throughout our podiatry life.
i have found that we are quite isolated as a profession, and having a forum such as this should encourage the average joe blog podiatrist to verbalise any queries that they may have.

It is so good to catch up,
    cheers
    Tree

    Hi Weenie2,

I agree that this is a great site, however your opening remark regarding Twirly, who openly identifies herself as Mandy Brooks, are a little harsh. Mandy is a very well respected member of the podiatric community and has contributed highly valued comments in many discussions.

It is certainly your right to remain anonymous, but you should consider that if you wish to enter any meaningful debate, you are more likely to be taken seriously, or even receive a reply, if you identify yourself. Unfortunatley, it has been noted, (granted more so on other forums) that a few posters choose to hide beneath their cloak of anonymity as an excuse to be abusive to others.

I look forward to your further posts.

    Kind regards

    Belinda

Hi there Belinda, thanks for your reply to my introduction.

Clinical decisions and treatment plans are the only things I justify to others in my life. My anonymous identity is my choice, end of story.

My request that Twirly not stand in judgement of my introduction, was a mere request, not a reflection on her past contributions to clinical debate.

It never ceases to amaze me how easily we lose sight of the common goal and the patient when ego comes into play (myself included).

With that, I offer my apolgies to Mandy (aka Twirly), yourself and any others who found:deadhorse: this request offensive.

I look forward to reading more of your and Twirly's contributions, and will refrain from making personal requests in the future.

    Have a great week

    :deadhorse:
