It is 330gms.. that excludes it from being able to be "the world's greatest running shoe"

Wouldn't you say it was rather bold for a running shoe company to call one of their many running shoes "The Greatest Running Shoe Ever"? If their claim is true, then would that make the rest of the many Adidas running shoes, "Not the Greatest Running Shoes Ever"? Logically, this would be the case.

I too am a little perplexed as to why Adidas would make that claim. I have reached out to my contacts at Adidas for some insight. Will report back.

Hey Craig - I have now run just on 40km in the new Ultra Boost.

Ran on the Melbourne Bayside trails, Tan, and 10k on the concrete. The midsole feels bulletproof. As a regualar runner in the Boston and Pearl Izumi M2 & N1, I hope i don't fall into a pool etc - a little weighty.

Nontheless I suspect a consumers 'first feel' when they slip them on will be exceptional, and the sales will flow. Given the average runner is a jogger, they may not care about the extra 30-40g that it carries over other 'flagship' shoes such as Kayano and Transcend.

It is a bit narrow, but the weave on the upper is very pliable. I do wonder about the longevity of the little nipples on the outsole, I guess they need something to wear out, as i suspect the midsole will go on forever.

 

Thats the exact feedback I am seeing from retailers and those who have tried the shoe - they call the upper 'feel' things like 'sensational' ... I have yet to see the shoe!
