On a number of occasions recently I have sent a patient that I have clinically diagnosed with a stress fracture of tib or fib and when attending the hospital they are told that "we don't cast stress fractures anymore just rest it for 3 weeks" No Aircast type boot is given either, is this the new Gold standard or just a cost saving method? This in UK Kent btw.
