Just on Today Tonight - people suffering fungal nail infections as a result of "pedicures". Podiatrist interviewed indicated the ONLY effective treatment is laser.

 

So the Podiatrist is wrong.

But there again, it must be correct because it is on telly/radio/in a newspaper/women's magazine.

I think you'll find that the podiatrist interviewed gave a full run down of treatment options, but In usual fashion, the journalist (and editor) have gone for the "sensational" route.

 

Who was the Podiatrist? Regardless good for Podiatry if it was done in a good light and made Podiatrists out to be well educated medical professionals that do more than cut toenails and push expensive plastic! Well done to whoever it was!
