Does anyone out there have knowledge of any NHS department in the South East that does Total Contact Casting for diabetic ulcers ?

    Thanks

    Hello John,

I'm not entirely sure for that area. However, may I suggest contacting the Paula Carr centre at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford? They may be able to point you in the right direction. I don't have the number to hand but I will dig it out and message you if that's any help.

    Regards,

Thanks for the info, followed it up but without success, too expensive.

Unfortunately it seems the Orthopods say it won't heal and are going to do a bka.

    Regards

Hi. I work in a very remotes section of North west Australia, and I find myself having to do one of these for the first time. I have a list of "instructions" and video link from Royal Perth hospital that could be made available to assist you

    John

Give the Podiatry Department at Medway PCT [may have changed its name since I was there] a call - they have Podiatrists based within the Diabetes Centre at the Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham.

EDIT: Just saw your post from yesterday - probably irrelevant now

Thanks both pearlcat & Ian G.

I`ve done much TCC but no longer.

I`d hoped to find an NHS dept that did but, as said previously, it seems to be too time consuming and therefore costly !

    Regards

    Hello John,

Sorry to hear that. I hope you manage to get something else sorted out.
