    Hi footdrcb,

I have seen this used in Singapore at the NHU (National University Hospital). Im rusty on who to contact there, it has been some years... THey used this for large and deep wounds. THe typical pathology was DM. THis treatment was also used both coupled with surgical debridement and as a stand-alone treatment for debridement.

REsults were pleasing with wounds reducing size from 30cm x 10-15cm x 4cm (deep) to about half this size in 4 weeks. THe treatment was for 1x weekly debriding until blood was present. THese patients were neuropathic.

I know this sounds terrible, but you will need to prepare the room well...there is a lot of debris literally flying everywhere while using this machine.

    CHeers, Think FEet :)

MediGroup were the Australian distributor for one type of these, but I can't see it on their website any more.

Southern Health, Royal Melbourne and Austin Hospital in Melbourne all have one, and at Southern, it is mainly used by the podiatrists.
