Over the past year me and a colleague of mine have been treating 5 patients with large neurovasular fibrous corns under the MPJ's.

We began with sharpe debridement, then moved onto Podospray treatment with the aim to increase return time which was successful.

Then the patients became sensitive to the Podospray. Has anyone else found this?

Then we performed a plantar block and removed the firbous corn "completely" (i use this word liberally) with 100% returning the corn to a normal HD now able to be encleated with a blade, but the pain returns due to a nerve ending being present in the lesion.

Been reading around about the use of phenol on nerve endings. Has anyone used this technqiue and know of any research laying around on exposure times etc?

My manager has now asked me to improve our minor surgery unit to include this type of treatment. Does anyone already have this service running and if so is there any information you could lend me at all covering saftey and procedure techniquies?

    Ta!
