    Hi All,

I remember reading or hearing somewhere that patients with diabetes show less variation in their centre of pressure over consecutive footsteps. Trouble is, I can't seem to find the article/ reference for this.

    Anyone able to help?

    Cheers

If my memory serves me right, there have been two publications that found this and one that did not. ..... have no idea of the refs and it would take forever to dig them out.

The theory was that the lack of variability meant the constant overloading of the same area --> greater risk for ulceration.
