Human papillomavirus (HPV) type 7 (HPV7) is known as the causative virus of ?butcher's warts?. In 2010, Sun et al. proposed that ?warts in toe webs? (WTW), which are extremely rare warts localized in the interdigital areas, can be another characteristic clinical form of HPV7 infection.1 In general, HPVs have a tropism for squamous epithelial cells, and specific HPV genotypes tend to be closely associated with distinct morphologies and anatomical sites or tissues.
