We the undersigned who are in good health and have no podiatric clinical need, and having been assessed by the pod dept and discharged, demand that the selfish tax payer underwrite our DESIRE to have our nails cut every 6 weeks. Or how about, "we the undersigned urge NHS podiatry departments to recommend discharged patients to see private poditrists who have received appropriate training (and have been judged competant) in how to carry out a neurovascular assessment (and not just cut and come back again chiropody). We beleive it is ridiculous that such patients are told to look in the Yellow Pages for a chiropodist, when not everyone is trained to the same level of competance. We beleive that if the medical condition of these patients deteriorate, then the chiropodists who have not received such training will not be able to detect such problems/appropriately advise the patient!"
