Same way its always been heading.
This issue is the same as it has been for over 30 yrs.

 

Generall speaking low risk patients are being offloaded to the private sector now in all NHS Trusts. But with low student numbers there is going to be overstretched podiatry service and they won't be able to cope. Chaos is where we are heading. ;)

 

I agree with Craig same as its always been. to work at any job you have to change adapt overcome I never concentrated on where the nhs was going or private practice just on where i was going,. to survive earning the most from doing the least unfortunately haven't cracked that chestnut yet can earn very well but have to work very hard> No such thing as chaos just opportunity . no work in nhs work privately slow in pp then work as abuilder tree surgeon in the slack times . Nothing stays the same the days of an nhs 40 year career are nearly up for podiatrists.
