Hi all,
I was thinking as I was doing my regular monthly supplies order about the option people use for antiseptic wipes in general practice.
Is there a preferred and correct wipe which we should all use..
Obviously most would be alcahol based.
Is there some that are better than others?
There is also a distinction between what we clean our benches down with and what we prep skin for callous debridement.

Feel free to throw us your thoughts.

I like clinell wipes. You can pretty much use them on anything

 

I also use clinell wipes - and when I worked for the NHS we used them too.
According to the blurb on them, they are effective against MRSA, VRE, Acineobacter, TB, Hep B and C, Norovirus, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas and 'many more'. You can use them on skin, surfaces and equipment. I wish I'd invented them, I think they're great :)

Hello.

I'm from S.A and I use either Avagard, Microshield Handrub or D-Bug hand rub to wipe down the client's feet with gauze.

For surfaces I use Tuffie Wipes (either the neurtal detergent wipes for soiled surfaces or the hospital grade Tuffie Wipes for general wiping down of surfaces if they are not visibly soiled.
