Hi Can anyone tell me what percentage does an associate get when fee sharing. I asked the Society today but they said they weren't allowed to comment.

  2. Hi Stuart - no fixed rate. It really depends on your set-up - but anything between 30-50% is the norm. Hope you're well.

    Kind regards
    Mark

    Hi Mark
How are you doing? Its hard to believe that we qualified 30 years ago. Thanks for the reply, but is the split 30%-50% to the employer (as such) and 70%-50% to the associate? or is it the other way round.
    Beat Regards
    Stuart

  4. The 30-50% is the associates fee. It will depend on what your fees are and whether you wish to hold onto the associate with a view to joining the practice. And how good/experienced they are.

Is it as long as that - doesn't time fly when you're having fun? You still in Troon?

Welcome to Pod Arena btw - you'll find it invaluable.

    Hi
Yes still in Troon. Married with 2 girls aged 12 and 15. Getting ready for the prelims next January.
    How about you?

  6. Living a quiet life these days, Stuart - hell raising days are over, well almost anyway. You'll get a flavour in the Regulation thread... Didnae anyone think about organising a reunion? I thought Leslie was planning something...

I havn't heard from Lesley for a couple of years. The last time she contacted me she had moved to Spain with her financial wizzkid toyboy. I better get on the diet and get a hair dye if we are going to have a reunion.

  8. Clearly the sun and sangria are keeping her occupied. You mean you stopped the hair dye after Edinburgh?? There's a thread on arena somewhere - google Edinburgh Foot Clinic Podiatry Arena - and I'm sure you're in one of the photos....

I have been working for a desperate colleague and getting 50%. Others suggest it should be 70/30 split
