High heels are like candy for dentists. Only when the media stops portraying woman with high heels as sexy is when we will stop wearing heels. Or when men start wearing them and feel our pain.

Or, alternatively, women could just vote with their wallets and their feet and stop purchasing and wearing high heeled shoes. Novel concept....I know.

Please don't blame the media and men for the choices that women make in their shoes. Women are not forced to wear these shoes...they choose to wear them. In fact, my experience is that women put more pressure on their female friends to also wear high heeled shoes than do the men in their lives.

In my practice, I routinely tell women to stop wearing these shoes for their foot health.....my advice goes in one ear....and out the other....whose fault is that? Men and the media?!
