Just another study confirming... "Women with HHS present a negative impact on the quality of life related to foot health".
Now if businesses (i.e. the corporate world), women (teenage girls), the medical profession... including Podiatry (& some on this forum), acknowledge this well established medical fact, the better for (future) female foot health. But, at the end of the day... it's still a choice.

Interesting discussion. But something very important is missing. Namely, the negative (read that as pathologic) impact high heel shoes have on the pelvis and spine.
    • High heels force the innominates anteriorly
    • Lordotic and kyphotic curves are augmented
When evaluating the impact high heels have on the body, maintain a global (not segmental) viewpoint.

    Hi Matt,

The impact high heel shoes have on foot kinesiology is far more insidious and pernicious then forefoot pathology:
    • It impacts the position of the cranial bones as well as
    • Altering the pattern of neural ocillations (brain waves) in a negative way.
I have published on this link between the foot and brain (see citation below). I have also demonstrated the changes in the qEEG when proprioceptive signals are altered in the foot. (Click on this link)
